Our Equipment is Helping Train the Next Generation of Physiotherapists at the University School of Physical Education in Poznań

Modern Education in Action

Thanks to the new Simulation and Physiotherapy Education Center, the physiotherapy program at AWF Poznań has taken a major step forward. Students now have access to technologies that mirror real-world clinical environments and actively support patient therapy. The center allows hands-on training through realistic clinical scenarios in areas like neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal therapy, and functional training.

Meden-Inmed – A Comprehensive Partner in Outfitting the Center

We equipped the facility with 30 specialized rehabilitation devices that support training in functional diagnostics, neurological rehabilitation, and therapies using robotics and virtual reality.

Key equipment includes:

  • Armeo Power 1.2 with Manovo Power and Equio Platform – a robotic arm for upper limb rehabilitation with a hand therapy module and a balance assessment/training platform,
  • Bertec CDP/IVR – a computerized dynamic posturography system for perturbation training,
  • Tekscan Strideway SRSW 4 – a modular system for gait pressure distribution analysis,
  • Huber 360 Evolution – a motorized static-dynamic therapy platform,
  • REAtouch – an intensive upper limb rehabilitation device,
  • Therapist M-S2.F4 – a rehabilitation table.

Technology Is Transforming Physiotherapy Education

Technology is reshaping rehabilitation therapy. Tools like robotic systems, virtual reality, biofeedback, and motion analysis make it possible to closely monitor patient progress, tailor therapy to individual needs, and actively engage patients in the recovery process.

By giving students access to this kind of cutting-edge rehabilitation technology, universities are preparing them for real-world challenges, building practical skills, and teaching them how to use the tools that are increasingly essential in modern physiotherapy.

Knowledge Competition – A Prize from Meden-Inmed

The launch of the Simulation and Physiotherapy Education Center also included a competition on modern rehabilitation technologies, organized and sponsored by Meden-Inmed. The grand prize—a Nexus 2 rehabilitation table—was awarded to the winner by Miłosz Maliński and Prof. Tomasz Lewandowski. The competition offered students a chance to apply their knowledge in a practical setting.
